SEPA Project Coordinator, Prevention Research Center

Kathryn Peters is a Health Educator for the Science Education Partnership (SEPA) Project at UNM’s Prevention Research Center. Prior to working at the Prevention Research Center, Kathryn worked as an Education Coordinator at Rio Grande Community Farm in Albuquerque, NM, as a Graduate Assistant in the Community Outreach programs at UNM’s Latin American and Iberian Institute, and as an Agroforestry Extensionist for the Peace Corps in rural Paraguay. She holds dual Masters’ degrees in Community and Regional Planning and Latin American Studies from UNM, where she gained experience in community-based and qualitative research. Kathryn also holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University and is a volunteer with the Bernalillo County Master Naturalist program.
