The scope of PRC research and the importance assigned to this work by health promotion and disease prevention practitioners throughout the world are indicated by the variety of disciplines represented by the peer-reviewed journals in which articles and conference abstracts by Center researchers have been published. PRC projects have been described in journals serving professionals in the following fields: public health, nutrition and dietetics, preventive medicine, family and community medicine, health policy, health education, health communication, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, psychology and behavioral medicine, school health, and anthropology.
